Government launches official map of licensed cannabis shops

DTAM's Medical Cannabis Geographic Information System (MC-GIS) lets anyone check whether a cannabis shop is licensed before visiting.

The Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine (DTAM) launched a public online map of licensed cannabis businesses on 21 April 2026.

The system is called the Medical Cannabis Geographic Information System, or MC-GIS. It pins every legally licensed cannabis shop and cultivation site on a live map. A shop only appears if it holds valid licences for both selling and processing and is operating normally.

How to use it

  • Open cannabis-gis.dtam.moph.go.th in a browser, or use the government's Mor Prom super app.
  • Search for the shop by name or find it on the map.
  • If it is not there, treat it as unlicensed.

You can report shops you think are operating illegally through LINE @traffyfondue.

Shops are also being given stickers to display at the entrance that show whether they are licensed and when the licence expires.

We use MC-GIS as the final check for our directory, and we recommend you do the same. Our step-by-step guide is here: how to check a cannabis shop's licence.
